Dr. Norma White is a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) and Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) with over two decades of clinical experience. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2003 from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ), followed by a Master of Science in Nursing in 2007, specializing in acute care. Dr. White began her career in critical care settings before transitioning to community-based care, where she served underserved populations with compassion and dedication. In 2012, she earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP), further expanding her clinical and leadership capabilities.

Dr. White held a leadership role with Optum (UnitedHealth Group), where she served as Director of Nurse Practitioners, overseeing a team that provided care to frail and medically complex individuals residing in long-term care facilities. During this time, she recognized the pressing need for accessible mental health services and pursued a post-master’s certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from Wilkes University.

Today, Dr. White offers virtual and in-person psychiatric care tailored to the needs of adults facing challenges such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, sleep disorders, ADHD, eating disorders, and personality disorders. Her practice is designed to eliminate common barriers to care, including time constraints, transportation, and stigma, by providing flexible, confidential support from the comfort of your own space.

What sets Dr. White apart is her holistic, empathetic, and collaborative approach. She is deeply committed to active listening, open communication, and building a therapeutic relationship grounded in trust. By exploring the root causes of mental health challenges—not just managing symptoms—Dr. White empowers her clients with the tools and strategies they need for lasting well-being.
